Story Bord

First half of animation is in countryside

Middle section is abstract

Last is organisational modern city

I want to create an enviroment an atmosphere that is symetical and curious. Why is this person traveling in the night time to the city? This music immediately fits hand in hand with travel. I have never used much of adobe after effects and have allways done stop motion in my past, so I'm going to start trying that out and see what it's like. I want to really get to grips with after effects. I really like my story bord, i think it's clear and has a definate style to it. I want to keep this when making my animaiton

Inspiration

Classic TV show, the movement of the garage is nice, and a good touch and can easily be doable.

Powerful girls movie, I've always been intrigued by how cartoons show intior design and the environment of an organised character. Here I take inspiration from the Professor and his house.

Another classic, looking at angels. Noticing how the cars dont move but the backgrounds do.

Music and the Visual Arts

Music and the visual arts always had a strong conection. The relashionship has allways been there we rarely live in silence. For most of us we have a soundtrack to our own lives. We allways visualise, and both are creative forms. No coincidence that musicians came from art collages.

Movement isn't just visual. Music and the visual arts go beyond the material go beyond the physical culture of our world. In each movement in culture music and art change too.

The Renaissance dominated Italy, was named after a rebirth of triangle structure and tripads. Renassance means Re-birth and marked the end of the medieval period or the dark Ages in European History and heralded the beginnign of an extrontrodonairy cultural upheaval in Art, science and technilogy influenced in the Classical Worked of Ancient Greece and Rome. Between 1430 to the late 1620s, Greek Philosopher Plato Dikat belived that words were more important than instruments playing. Thus music was more compossed for singing, this was also interrpreted in a different maner to make the music sound lke words, birds or animal sounds. The musical portryal of the poetic words used was called word-painting, and it made for pleasant listening.

Narrative

"storytelling is telling a joke, there is a goal to it, it needs to have a change, connect with it." Andrew Stanton

Play with Narrative, anything can form a narrative, conecting the story teller and narrative. We are always telling and working with narrative including still design. Design the beginning and end. Resolve them at the end -title/credit. How to structure story get one before you put ideas down how will we view camera angles think about key points in the story. Timmings. How long will it last for? What point will it happen on the timeline.

Continuity

Your eyes are the camera, discribe camera movement. One continuis flow or scenes? cut and edit shots? communicate movement e.g arrows. fast cuts? slow transitions? Digital or anaglog. Seconds? Frames?

12 FPS -Pokemon used this due to it being cheeper and simple.
25 FPS - Uk standard
30 FPS - American system
